On our last few podcasts, we’ve been visiting with the vibrant Miss Lillie Knauls, known for singing the hit, “Oh Happy Day,” and for the Gaither Homecoming TV programs, videos, and tours! In our concluding talk with her, she shares about how she followed God’s will for her life, how she keeps going, her ministry to singles, and more! 

As we enter a new year, we’re continuing our visit with Lillie Knauls, who’s known for her performances as a member of the Gaither Homecoming friends & as a singer on the #1 hit song, “Oh Happy Day.” She explains how she came to sing in many of the most prestigious venues throughout the world!

This is Christmas week and to help us celebrate, giving thanks and praise to God, is Dove award recipient Lillie Knauls! The effervescent Miss Lillie – smile, hat, & all – shares about what’s truly important at Christmas, in word & song! And what a treat – she was a regular singer featured on the Bill & Gloria Gaither Homecoming series!

“Oh Happy Day!” is a gospel song by the Edwin Hawkins Singers that made it to the top of the charts during the late 60's and early 70's worldwide! Lillie Knauls, who is our guest, was one of those singers, who herself has been used mightily by the Lord! Miss Lillie, as many know her with her radiant smile and festive hats, was also a singer featured on the Bill & Gloria Gaither Homecoming television program, videos, and tours.

Operation Christmas Child is an exciting project that happens yearly as an outreach of Samaritan’s Purse! Even amid a pandemic, they are actively involved, wanting to collect more shoe boxes than ever before because children need hope more than ever! On the phone to talk about the exciting project is Dana Williams, the Media Relations Assistant Manager for Samaritan's Purse.
